GetRealTacoma.com is a real estate blog in Tacoma, Washington that was started in 2008. Get Real Tacoma was started by Tacoma real estate agent Marguerite Martin when she was working out of Suite133 in Downtown Tacoma, Washington. At the time there were many Tacoma focussed blogs popping up. Marguerite wanted to create a resource for people looking for straightforward information about Tacoma real estate.
Over the years Marguerite has worked with many clients in Tacoma and Pierce County. In 2015 she created another website, MovetoTacoma.com. The goal with MovetoTacoma.com was to provide useful information about Tacoma neighborhoods for people relocating to Tacoma from Seattle, across the country, or just across town. MovetoTacoma.com now has over 50 neighborhood guides to Tacoma and Pierce County and Marguerite has helped hundreds of Tacomans (and folks moving to Tacoma) find a real estate agent, a neighborhood, and a home.

Sold a home in Seattle, Bought a House in Tacoma
Marguerite is an amazing agent. I was looking for a home in Tacoma and she went well beyond what is expected to help me land the perfect place.
Having just redone the house I sold, I had some ideas about what I wanted in a house- walkable neighborhood, etc. but that meant I didn’t have specific areas to look and there were a wide range of options I was interested in looking at.
Marguerite was always super accessible to go see homes in a hot market. And when my current house came on the market and was obviously an amazing choice, she was there getting me into the home within hours of me asking about it, hours after it was placed on the market. She made sure to get me to see it so I wouldn’t miss out on an amazing opportunity.
Later, the folks who were selling it had done some work that resulted in an open permit. There was some issue about getting the permit closed and she did what was necessary so we could finish the deal, making sure the house would get through final inspection.
I should also add that Marguerite connected me to the great agents who helped me sell my house. Being able to trust an agent to connect you to someone great is soo important.
