Oh yeah. I’m going there. Long ago, before I was a Real Estate Agent, I was unaware that people carpeted bathrooms. It had never even occured to me to do this. The first time I saw it (A midcentury home with shag green carpet in the master bathroom) I giggled and stared. “Really!?” This is pretty much the reaction of buyers when we walk into a bathroom with carpet on the floor.
I get the pull. Something nice and soft on your feet when you step out of the shower or are sitting on the toity. But oh man, unless you’re changing that carpet every two weeks, it is so not an ideal situation.

I spent the weekend with my aunt and uncle in Dallas. As a treat they always take me on a tour of high end homes in Dallas. It’s always a lot of fun. This time I met a very cool Realtor named Carla who was nice enough to talk with me about the market there and answer some of my questions about the opulent homes they sell in that city.

I was talking with local Realtor Monica Scott the other day about all the dolls we’ve seen in listings recently. Dolls on the couch in the living room. Dolls on the guest bed. Dolls in the bathroom. Tsk tsk tsk. I would like to say the Listing Agents are partly to blame, but I know these conversations can be difficult to have, especially when clients love their dolls. So I am going directly to you, The Public with this appeal to put the dolls away.
By all accounts, the numbers of HUD Foreclosures are on the rise everywhere. As of today there are currently 45 HUD Foreclosures listed in the City of Tacoma.
