North Slope Historic District Home for Sale $375,000

by Marguerite

Recently, I got a phone call from an old friend who is moving out of Tacoma. He needed to put his house on the market and asked me to connect him to an awesome seller’s agent. It always makes me sad to hear that a friend is leaving Tacoma, but also, if I’m telling the truth, deep in my cold mercenary real estate agents heart I did a jump for joy. INVENTORY!

My friends house is in a perfect North Slope Historic District location. From here it’s an easy walk to 6th Avenue and the Stadium District and to the waterfront on Ruston Way. It’s convenient for folks working or studying at Puget Sound University. And it’s a beautiful house.

Every January in Tacoma for the past 5 years the exact same thing happens. Buyers resolve to buy houses and the demand rises steeply in January. The sellers, for some weird reason, don’t start showing up until March. Smart sellers should list their houses ASAP. Inventory in Pierce County dropped 40% in 2019. Buyers NEED houses.

Ideally, we don’t want people to move out of Tacoma to make homes available, but if you have a rental you’ve been wanting to sell, or (like my old friend) if you just HAVE to leave, now is the time to put your place on the market.
