I purchased my first home in April from CountryWide, which was sadly bought out by Bank of America. I have gotten the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I called every day for 2 weeks to the 203K disbersement dept. and left a voice mail and did not get one call back. I also emailed the woman that was supposed to be issuing the check to my contractor after waiting for it for 8 weeks. She also did not respond to my email. After finally calling the general customer service line at BOA I was able to get a hold of her and talked to her manager who was also not helpful. Bottom Line, BOA has horrible customer service and they obviously could care less about their customers.

Banks need to get more of a one on one relationship with there local business owners that are depositing the larger amounts monthly and convince them to invest in 65% LTV's and 55% LTV's not base on credit only!but dependent on value. Now the banks could bell there selves out of some of this bad paper deals that they are holding by providing the homes and the hard money lender there is no loosing cause if the borrower bells or tanks; The lender is in a great position and in today’s time could receive up 13% on his or her money for a short loan, and the bank could make up to 4 points origination.

When Bank of America starts with the FHA 203k's and if any of your needs help from an FHA 203k Consultant in Austin, Texas - do contact me at FHAInspections@austin.rr.com

The 203k's loans are great loans for homebuyers and homeowner's alike. Maybe HUD/FHA will decide to bring back the Investor 203k loans to solve the Contractor problems for homebuyers.
